On February 12, 2025, the Institute of Mechanics and Machine Science named after Academician Ö.A. Zholdasbekov (JIME) was visited by a delegation from SaryarkaAvtoProm LLP. The visit aimed to familiarize the delegation with the Institute’s scientific developments and to discuss promising areas of scientific and technological cooperation in the field of industrial automation and robotics.
The delegation visited the JIME exhibition area, where advanced developments in mechanics and robotics were presented, including an AI-based mobile transport robot, a collaborative robot (cobot), a Cartesian robot, walking robots, and other cutting-edge technologies.
Special attention was given to the project implemented within the framework of the scientific and technical program PCF BR24992947 “Development of Robots, Scientific, Technical and Software Support for Flexible Robotization and Industrial Automation (RPA) of Automotive Enterprises of Kazakhstan Based on Artificial Intelligence” (2024–2026).
Discussions on the integration of science and industry continued in the format of a round table. Key topics included further cooperation within the BR24992947 program, opportunities for industrial automation and the implementation of robotic technologies at SaryarkaAvtoProm LLP, organization of joint scientific research in industrial robotics and digitalization, implementation of advanced RPA (Robotic Process Automation) solutions, and development of proposals for optimizing production processes.
During the discussion, the Scientific Director of JIME and the program, Academician Amandyk Kuatovich Tuleshov, noted:
“This is the first time that representatives of an industrial enterprise of such scale have visited our research institute and discussed key issues of integrating robotic technologies into production. This is an important step toward building a strong link between science and industry, which will enable the creation of innovative solutions capable of enhancing the competitiveness of Kazakhstan’s automotive industry.”
The Project Manager from SaryarkaAvtoProm LLP, Kamila Bolatbekovna Nauryzbayeva, emphasized the importance of cooperation with JIME:
“We already have specific cases that we are considering for practical implementation. We see IMMS as a key partner in implementing our innovation projects aimed at production automation and robotization.”
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed on support and active participation of SaryarkaAvtoProm LLP in the implementation of the BR24992947 program, development of a roadmap for the introduction of robotic technologies, organization of internships and practical training for specialists and students, joint research in robotics and digitalization of the automotive industry, and formulation of proposals for integrating advanced technological solutions into production.
The visit of the SaryarkaAvtoProm LLP delegation to IMMS confirmed the high potential for cooperation between science and industry. Both partners expressed their readiness to continue joint efforts in implementing intelligent technologies, which will contribute to the development of industrial robotics and strengthen Kazakhstan’s position in high-tech manufacturing.
