The “JIME ChemDrive” team from Joldasbekov Institute of Mechanics and Engineering (JIME) participated in the annual international Chem-E-Car Competition, held from July 23 to 27, 2026, in Karamay, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China. The competition was organized with the support of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) and the Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China (CIESC). The host institution was China University of Petroleum (Beijing) at Karamay (CUPK), one of China’s leading technical universities. In addition to the main national competition, the program included the International Friendship Match, an international friendly competition aimed at promoting academic exchange and cross-cultural interaction among student teams from different countries.

Organizational matters with the host institution were coordinated by Alibek Talgatbekovich Khabiev, Deputy General Director for Science at JIME, and Altynai Sharbekovna Mambaeva of the Department of Physics at the Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University
