In recent years, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, has been paying great attention to the field of science, defining it as a key driving force for the development and prosperity of the state, thereby giving new momentum and impetus to Kazakhstani science. A particularly positive and encouraging fact is that the “Day of Scientific Workers”, dedicated to the birthday of the symbol and founder of Kazakhstani science — Kanysh Imantayevich Satpayev — is gaining greater recognition every year. Various events are organized throughout the country, and this day is increasingly becoming one of special appreciation and recognition for our scientists.

The Institute of Mechanics and Engineering named after Academician U.A. Zholdasbekov has also attached special importance to this day and organized a number of activities. One of them was the scientific and practical seminar “Prospective Directions of Scientific Research at the Institute of Mechanics and Engineering”, which was held today, April 9, 2025, in the assembly hall of the Institute.

The seminar was aimed at discussing the results achieved by the Institute, as well as its future prospects, goals and objectives, current issues, and possible solutions. The seminar was opened with a welcoming speech by the General Director, Z.G. Ualiev, followed by presentations from the Institute’s leading scientists: A.K. Tuleshov, B.B. Teltaev, S.M. Ibraev, and A.A. Zhomartov.

This scientific and practical seminar became a highly important event, enriched with valuable and in-depth insights shared by experienced scholars in the field of mechanics and engineering, who are recognized at the international level. The seminar served as a platform for discussing the current state and further development of Kazakhstani science, as well as the future prospects of the Institute.
