From September 3 to 5, 2025, the Institute of Mechanics and Machine Science named after Academician Ö.A. Zholdasbekov (JIME) hosted a delegation of international scientists from the University of Rome Tor Vergata (Italian Republic) as part of the development of international scientific and technical cooperation.

During the scientific seminar, Professors Marco Ceccarelli and Matteo Russo delivered presentations, presenting the results of their research and key scientific areas in the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence.

From the JIME side, Associate Professor Askar Zhunisovich Seidakhmet delivered a presentation entitled “Automation and Robotization of Manufacturing Processes on the Example of SaryarkaAvtoProm LLP.”

Within the framework of the seminar, issues related to the automation of motion control of mobile robots for performing logistics operations at the automotive production facilities of SaryarkaAvtoProm LLP were discussed in detail. These included navigation tasks, indoor mapping, and optimization of motion algorithms for mobile robotic platforms. As a result of the discussions, optimal technical and software solutions for the identified challenges were determined.

Foreign scientists from the University of Rome Tor Vergata act as scientific consultants for the Program-Targeted Funding project BR24992947 “Development of Robots, Scientific, Technical and Software Support for Flexible Robotization and Industrial Automation (RPA) of Automotive Enterprises of Kazakhstan Based on Artificial Intelligence.”

The Institute of Mechanics and Machine Science named after Academician Ö.A. Zholdasbekov maintains stable and systematic scientific ties with the University of Rome Tor Vergata, which are implemented both through in-person visits and regular online meetings.
