On July 14–15, 2026, an International Scientific and Practical Seminar on Robotics and Industrial Automation for Kazakhstan’s Automotive Manufacturing Enterprises was held at the production facilities of the Allur Group of Companies (SaryarkaAvtoProm LLP) in Kostanay, Kazakhstan. The seminar was dedicated to presenting the interim results of the scientific and technical program BR24992947, entitled “Development of Robots, Scientific, Technical and Software Solutions for Flexible Robotization and Industrial Automation (RPA) of Kazakhstan’s Automotive Manufacturing Enterprises Based on Artificial Intelligence.”
The scientific and technical program is being implemented in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Science and Technology Policy” and is aimed at addressing the country’s strategic objectives in the fields of digital transformation and industrial robotization. The program fully aligns with the national priorities for the development of science and technology outlined by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who has repeatedly emphasized the importance of artificial intelligence and robotics as key drivers of the national economy’s competitiveness.
The program is being carried out through close cooperation between science, education, and industry by the U. Joldasbekov Institute of Mechanics and Engineering, in partnership with Turan University, the Allur Group of Companies, and the National Academy of Engineering of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the participation of international partners from China and Italy.
The highlight of the seminar was the demonstration of prototypes of five domestically developed mobile and industrial robots operating under real manufacturing conditions. These robotic systems have been designed for intra-shop logistics, component handling, spot welding, and body-panel marking in automotive production.
Another significant event was the official opening of the Competence Center for Automation, Robotics, and Artificial Intelligence Technologies (R&D Center), established jointly with the Allur enterprise. The new center is intended to serve as a platform for strengthening cooperation between research institutions and industry, promoting the implementation of advanced robotic technologies in manufacturing, and training highly qualified engineering personnel for Kazakhstan’s high-tech industries.
The seminar also featured roundtable discussions and expert sessions devoted to the future development of robotics and industrial automation in Kazakhstan’s manufacturing sector. Participants discussed the integration of scientific research with industrial production, the commercialization of research outcomes, and the advancement of high-tech industries.
Holding the seminar at the Allur production facilities demonstrated the strong potential for collaboration between science and industry. The technologies presented represent an important first step toward establishing a full-cycle domestic production of robotic systems in Kazakhstan, thereby strengthening the country’s position in high-tech manufacturing and enhancing the competitiveness of its industrial sector.
