On April 2-3, 2026, Astana hosted the XIII Forum of Machine Builders of Kazakhstan.

The Forum of Machine Builders of Kazakhstan is the main dialogue platform between the government and business, where a conceptual vision of the development of the machine–building industry and the manufacturing industry is being formed. The event discussed mechanisms of state industrial policy, measures to stimulate import substitution, technological modernization and increase the competitiveness of domestic industries.

Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov took part in the plenary session of the Forum. The Prime Minister emphasized that in accordance with the instructions of the Head of the State given in the Address to the People and at an expanded Government meeting, Kazakhstan is working to create a predictable and sustainable environment for the development of the engineering industry.

The Forum of Machine Builders gathered over 1,300 delegates, including leading domestic manufacturers, specialists, and business representatives from more than 20 countries – Austria, Germany, Italy, China, and other countries.

The Forum was attended by JIME employees academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan A.K. Tuleshov and Professor A.A. Jomartov. 

The international specialized exhibition “KAZAKHSTAN MACHINERY FAIR 2026” was held within the framework of the Forum, where modern technologies, equipment and solutions for various segments of mechanical engineering were presented.
